Sincere thank you to everyone who made the UW-Madison Hemp Research Field Day a reality! We were thrilled by the turnout, with both of our shuttles being completely full for the duration of the event.
Take a listen to a recording of the event here!
From our seed providers and sponsoring partner (Batch) to our research/event team, undergraduate students and enthusiastic guests…it would not have been such a success without you!
What a great opportunity to share the preliminary results from our SARE and USDA SAC-NIFA grant projects and to promote the newly created Midwestern Hemp Pest Management Survey!
The overall purpose of this survey is to determine the prevalence and severity of hemp diseases and pests across the Midwest. It will provide insight into the prevalence and severity of pest populations, the management strategies used to control pests, and how these strategies may affect pest populations. With this information, we hope to provide tools for management and explore meaningful research areas relevant to Midwestern hemp farmers!
The first 50 survey participants will be entered in a drawing to win a $10 KwikTrip gift card! There will be 5 gift cards available meaning 5 participants will win!
As always, keep an eye out for reports from these projects on our new “Emerging Crops” website as they become available.
See you at the next one!
