Education:

• BS in Agricultural Sciences from Banaras Hindu University
• MS in Plant Science from South Dakota State University
• PhD in Plant, Insect and Microbial Sciences from the University of Missouri–Columbia

Research Focus: I am interested to understand the genetic architecture of economically important traits in alternative crops. My current research focus is inclined towards genetics of seed composition traits in hemp, soybean cyst nematode trait in pennycress and Aphanomyces resistance in common bean.

Fun fact: I write and maintain my collection of eastern poems, gazals, and muktaks.
